My Simple Lifestyle Each person starts life on earth as a piece of white paper. Your experiences mottle this piece of paper which is no longer pure white.Parts of the paper could be drab, other parts more colourful.  People nowadays love to say I am pure and healthy and would even describe me as being sacred and inviolable. These are probably the perception of people who do not know me very well ! I am like everyone else - a piece of paper strewn with various experiences. To a certain extent, even a thorn-infested road which , to begin with, is not easy to travel on can be made even more difficult to walk on because of the choice I have made - which  is to be simple and ordinary and to stick to my principles. There is always a voice within my heart telling me to choose that which is good and to persevere. As such, some people consider me ignorant and obstinate. Given my complicated experiences, everything could have turned out negative from very early on . This did not happen because of my perseverance. I have persisted in being positive and living life with optimism even amidst difficulties. Only those who know me very well can understand, only those who know the vicissitudes that have marked my life can empathise. As to what I am so persistent about, perhaps there will come a day when I can tell this story. My Natural Character Those who misunderstand my simplicity may mutter a lot behind my back and say I am putting on an act. Being unwilling to conform , or what some may say being too high brow to be popular, will inevitably result in one having to endure the strange stares of  others. I will not go to the extreme to gain the approval of the world. Although there are many people who do not like me - and many different viewpoints and misunderstandings are involved here- I will not be too earnest and try all means and ways to seek to be understood. I firmly believe that some things are fated in this world. If you are willing to spend a little time and we are destined to be friends, there will always be an opportunity to understand a person. Unchanged Sentiment What I have always felt strange about is that those who are in the acting industry not only rely on their voice and looks to entertain the public, even their private lives become a topic for entertainment. I really like the job of acting because I look upon it as a performing art. However, there are so many people who feel that actors do not mind being publicly censured and praised. Some even subject an actor's personality/character to criticism and attack. Hong Kong is too small, the actors are very transparent, many things which are very personal are all placed  in a goldfish tank for public observation. Sometimes, even the truth can be misconstrued as manoeuvres calculated to deceive. An obviously good person can also be riddled with question marks and be subjected to suspicion. I am still not used to this lifestyle and do not really want to get used to it. To maintain a certain distance will make me feel that this job is a very interesting one. It is not a good thing to get too close.
